In addition to withdrawingthetitle of Commander-in-Chief of theArmyfromthePresidential Council (PC), and to givethetitle to the Speaker of theHoR, according to HoRspokesmanAbdullahBlehiq.
Earlier, theHouse of Representativesdenouncedthedecision of the Head of the PC regardingthe establishment of anindependentreferendum and surveybody, describingthedecision as a dangerous and unjustifiedstep. Itconsidered in a statementthedecision to be in violation of theconstitutionaldeclaration. Italsoconsideredthatthisstepcannot be takenbyonepartyalone in light of thetransitionalcircumstancesthatthe country isgoingthrough, while at thesame time reservingitsright to bypass the High NationalElectionsCommissionbyestablishingindependentfinancialbodies.
PC’s Head Mohammed Menfiissued a decision to establishthe “NationalCommissionforReferendum and NationalSurvey” forthepurpose of implementingreferendums and nationalsurveys, frompreparation and planning to supervisingvoting and sortingresults.
