Under the direct instructions of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, and the Prime Minister Dr. Osama Hamad, the Libyan government has launched an air convoy to provide urgent aid to the brotherly state of Chad, which has recently been severely affected by heavy rains and flooding. These natural disasters have caused significant human and material damage in populated areas of the country.
In response to this crisis, the Libyan government, in close cooperation with the General Command, has begun transporting emergency relief supplies by air from Benina Airport in Benghazi to Nedina Airport, the capital of Chad. This operation aims to alleviate the suffering of those affected and provide the necessary supplies to counter the devastating effects of the floods.
This initiative highlights the humanitarian and supportive role that the Libyan government and the General Command play in assisting brotherly nations, reaffirming their commitment to international aid and cooperation in times of crisis. Libya stands ready to work alongside Chad to mitigate the impact of this climate emergency and assist the victims in overcoming these challenges.
