The Director General of the Libyan Fund for Development and Reconstruction, Engineer Belqasem Khalifa Haftar, participated in the opening and sessions of the eighth edition of the «Future of the Investment Initiative» conference held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This event, considered one of the most important international gatherings, brings together presidents, ministers, and business leaders from over 146 countries.
During his participation, Haftar held meetings with several dignitaries and influential figures, including the Conference’s Executive Director, Mr. Richard Attias, and the Saudi Minister of Finance, Mr. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Jidaan. He also met with the chairman of the multinational company «Aqua Power,» Mr. Mohammed Abunyan, to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation and supporting the fund’s strategic plan across various vital sectors for the recovery and development of Libya.
This congress not only represents a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences but also provides the opportunity to forge key alliances that can facilitate significant investments in the North African country. Haftar’s participation and that of his delegation underscore Libya’s commitment to attracting investments that contribute to its economic and social development.
