Saif al Islam ha mostrado su satisfacción y alegría ante el hecho trascendental y de enorme repercusión de que la Cámara de Representantes (CdR) aprobara el lunes por unanimidad la ley para la elección del presidente del país y de la Asamblea Nacional.
El que es además candidato a estas elecciones, que de seguro serán dentro de seis meses, felicitó al presidente del HoR, Aqailah Saleh, por cuanto que “la ley aprobada por el Comité Conjunto 6+6 de acuerdo con la enmienda constitucional no excluye a nadie que cumpla las condiciones conocidas para la candidatura, y todo ciudadano tiene derecho a postularse como candidato civil o militar sin excluir a nadie, y quien no gane las elecciones podrá volver a su anterior cargo».
Saif al Islam “agregó que la ley electoral tomó en cuenta todas las consideraciones y circunstancias que atraviesa el país y logró la igualdad en el ejercicio del trabajo político” y expresó “su agradecimiento al comité 6+6 por realizar este trabajo, considerándolo una base para unificar poder en el país y cumplir el deseo de los libios”.
Recordó que “la ley aprobada por la Cámara de Representantes permitirá que el personal militar se presente a las elecciones sin abandonar el servicio militar, al tiempo que garantiza el regreso a sus cargos si fracasan. La ley también permitará a quienes ocupan altos cargos como presidente de la Cámara de Representantes presentarse a las elecciones presidenciales y regresar a su cargo si no ganan las elecciones, cuya primera etapa se celebrará antes de las elecciones a la Asamblea Nacional”.
El ahora candidato aseguró que comienza el proceso que hará que Libia salga de la situación en la que ahora vive y que dará al pueblo la posibilidad de elegir realmente a quienes lo llevarán por la senda del progreso y desarrollo, tal como han mostrado durante todo este tiempo la comunidad internacional.

Saif al Islam has shown his satisfaction and joy at the momentous and enormously repercussionable fact that the House of Representatives (CdR) unanimously approved on Monday the law for the election of the country’s president and the National Assembly.
The one who is also a candidate for these elections, which will surely take place in six months, congratulated the president of the HoR, Aqailah Saleh, because “the law approved by the 6+6 Joint Committee in accordance with the constitutional amendment does not exclude «No one who meets the known conditions for candidacy, and every citizen has the right to run as a civil or military candidate without excluding anyone, and whoever does not win the elections will be able to return to his previous position.»
Saif al Islam “added that the electoral law took into account all the considerations and circumstances that the country is going through and achieved equality in the exercise of political work” and expressed “his gratitude to the 6+6 committee for carrying out this work, considering it a foundation to unify power in the country and fulfill the wish of the Libyans.”
He recalled that “the law approved by the House of Representatives will allow military personnel to run for election without abandoning military service, while guaranteeing their return to their positions if they fail. The law will also allow those who hold high positions such as president of the House of Representatives to run for president and return to office if they do not win the elections, the first stage of which will be held before the elections to the National Assembly.”
The now candidate assured that he is beginning the process that will make Libya emerge from the situation in which it now lives and that will give the people the possibility of truly choosing those who will lead them along the path of progress and development, as they have shown throughout this time the international community.
