The head of government, together with the Secretary General of the Armed Forces Command, reviews files to enhance support for military veterans

Prime Minister Dr. Osama Hamad held a high-level meeting this Saturday with the Secretary General of the General Command of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Team Aul Khairi Al-Tamimi, at the General Command headquarters in the city of Benghazi.
During the meeting, several key files were reviewed, focusing particularly on the status and rights of retired military personnel. The main goal is to strengthen institutional and social support for veterans, recognizing the fundamental role they played in consolidating stability and preserving national security.



The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s firm commitment to providing continuous support to the retired members of the Armed Forces, emphasizing that this priority is under the direct supervision of the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar.
«The loyalty and sacrifice of our veterans are the foundation upon which Libya’s stability is built. It is our responsibility to ensure they receive the recognition and support they deserve,» Prime Minister Hamad stated during the meeting.



This meeting highlights the shared interest among the highest civilian and military authorities in reinforcing institutional cohesion and honoring those who have served the country with distinction throughout their careers.
The meeting concluded with the adoption of several initial measures aimed at improving conditions for retired military personnel, in an initiative that will continue to be jointly overseen by the Government and the General Command.
