Ministerial meetings in Benghazi consolidate partnership in strategic sectors

In an effort to strengthen their bilateral relations and advance the implementation of key agreements, delegations from Libya and Belarus met this morning in Benghazi. The ministerial meeting, attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, Mr. Victor Karankovic, aimed to complete the procedures for the effective application of the agreements signed on March 9, 2025. These agreements cover essential sectors such as health, education, agriculture, emergencies, industry, and oil.
On behalf of Belarus, the delegation included First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashvin; Minister of Industry Yvimov Vladimirovic; Minister of Agriculture Yuri Gorlov; Minister of Health Khojev Valerievich; Minister of Emergency Situations, Major General Vadim Seniavsky; and Minister of Education Ivanits Ivanovic.
From Libya, the meeting was attended by Minister of Industry and Minerals Ahmed Abdul Qadir; Minister of Agriculture Younis Hassan; Minister of Health Othman Abdul Jalil; Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Awad Al-Badri; Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Al-Mahdi Shoaib, as well as the Head of the National Development Agency Jibril Al-Badri; Advisor to the Prime Minister for Public Affairs Salem Sharif; and the Advisor and Director of the Prime Minister’s Office Saleh Exiled.
The meeting focused on the work of the joint Libya-Belarus liaison group, responsible for establishing executive mechanisms for the implementation of bilateral agreements. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the effective implementation of the agreed projects and consolidating sustainable cooperation for the benefit of their economies and societies.
