Marshal Khalifa Abul Qasim Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, held a meeting with sheikhs, notables, and elders from the Central Region tribes in the military city named after him. The meeting was also attended by the Prime Minister of Libya, Assama Hamad, and the Chief of Staff, General of the First Line Khalifa Haftar.

They emphasized the need to work together to reunify Libyans and ensure territorial stability.

Marshal Haftar, in turn, praised the loyalty and patriotic role of the tribes from the Central Region, highlighting their contribution to strengthening national security. He stated that the armed forces act as guarantors of Libya’s stability and will support any agreement aimed at unifying the country.
Haftar reiterated his belief that the solution to Libya’s crisis must come from the Libyan people themselves, with the support of the tribes and without relying on external initiatives. He also reaffirmed the army’s commitment to territorial unity and national sovereignty, stressing that only internal consensus can pave the way toward a safe and stable Libya.
