The Commander-in-Chief emphasizes the importance of culture and knowledge during the event, featuring over 100 publishers from 12 countries

Field Marshal Khalifa Abul Qasim Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, made an official visit to the fourth edition of the Benghazi International Book Fair, accompanied by Libyan Prime Minister Dr. Osama Hamad.
During the tour of the various exhibition stands, Haftar reviewed the work of over 100 local and international publishers from 12 different countries, highlighting the fair as a significant regional cultural gathering.



The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that supporting cultural activities is key to spreading knowledge and raising public awareness, praising the excellent organization of the event and the notable participation both from within Libya and abroad.
“Culture and knowledge are fundamental pillars for the development of our society. Events like this not only promote reading but also strengthen international ties and enrich our cultural identity,” Haftar said during his visit.



The Benghazi International Book Fair has become an annual event that promotes literary exchange and cultural cooperation, attracting authors, academics, and publishers who aim to contribute to Libya’s educational and cultural development.
