House of Representatives’ spokesmanAbdullahBlehiqsaid in a pressstatementthatthe meeting onlastSundaydiscussedthesituation in Libya and ways to endthecurrent crisis, as Salehstressedthat «thesolution in Libyais to holdpresidential and parliamentaryelections and form a unifiedgovernmentwhoseprimarymissionis to holdelections as per thewill of theLibyanpeople.”
Kouryexplainedon X thatshediscussedwithSalehways to endthecurrent impasse and pushthepoliticalprocess forward bycreating favorable conditionsfor holding free and fairelectionswhoseresults are acceptable to all.
Sheaddedthatshealsostressedtheimportance of buildingconsensusamongallconcernedparties to move forward toward holding peacefulelectionsthatmeettheaspirations of Libyans to choosetheirleadership and renewthelegitimacy of theirinstitutions.
