Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, led an official inspection of the military city named in his honor, accompanied by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, and Prime Minister Dr. Osama Hamad.

The high-profile tour included visits to newly established training facilities, outfitted with advanced technologies aimed at ensuring the highest standards of military readiness and professional development. The delegation was joined by Chiefs of Staff, senior military commanders, and invited guests attending a large-scale military exhibition.

Field Marshal Haftar commended the pivotal role played by the Chief of Staff of the Security Units, General Raken Khaled Haftar, who directly oversaw the city’s planning and development. “This military city reflects a qualitative leap in building a modern and capable Libyan army. It serves as a model of advanced military structure and organization,” Haftar stated.

Prime Minister Osama Hamad expressed his appreciation for the efforts behind the project, emphasizing the strategic importance of creating an integrated environment that supports the development of a professional military institution. “This city is a foundational step toward building an armed force equipped to confront future challenges, supported by modern infrastructure and advanced training capabilities,” he said.
