Libya’s interim prime minister, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabiba, announced that his government is making progress in consolidating state control and strengthening national security, as part of the ongoing institutional reorganization plan promoted by his administration.
During a public statement, Al-Dabiba said that the government has completed the first phase of taking over sovereign facilities at ports and airports, describing it as “a crucial step to return control of strategic infrastructure to the State.”
The prime minister also highlighted the results of the new security deployment plan, which he said has helped reinforce stability and curb the activity of armed groups, despite “some isolated violations” reported during its implementation.
Regarding the presence of militias, Al-Dabiba emphasized the need to end the existence of armed formations operating outside the framework of the State, praising Madoun’s clear vision for restoring the legitimate monopoly of force under state authority.
The interim leader reaffirmed his government’s commitment to national unity, institutional legality, and political stability, describing these as essential pillars for “building a strong, sovereign, and united nation free from division.”
